Aug. 30th, 2007 07:23 pmI'll be a whole quarter-century old by this time tomorrow. Odd, that. I don't feel that old. I'll be spending the workday (yes, I'm working on my birthday) packing up for next week's trip to Fort Laramie, where I will try to ford the river and lose all my oxen be co-leading a conservation crew from Montana. So that'll be nice, especially compared to the thistle pulling that's made up the rest of the week. And I'm going to make panko-coated chicken for supper, which I don't do too often because it's a mess to clean up (I'm also making not-quite-as-messy baked carrots and not-really-messy-at-all rice), but it's delicious. And I got Ben & Jerry's for dessert, and a few presents which I have been dutifully not opening until the 31st, so it's all good. Heck, it'll more of a celebration than I've had in a few years. I always seem to be moving on my birthday (I've lived in seven different places in three different states since graduating from high school) or at a retreat or something.
