Sometimes I over-research stuff for my fics (and by sometimes, I mean most of the time *eyeballs history of medicine and astronomy books taking up the kitchen table*). Case in point: details on how to construct a humanoid robot, based at least partially on an article in Scientific American about how you could make it so a robot could "feel" things it touched.

I was surprised and delighted to see an article on Time's online tech section showing that the research that I based Blues and Rock's technobabble on is actually being built. We're living in the future, you guys.
