Well, that was odd.
Mar. 16th, 2005 05:13 pmMy short, blond professor for History of Pre-Modern Medicine came in today wearing all black except for a long, bright red, hooded cloak. Very surreal. It looked a bit like she was trying to cosplay as Edward Elric based on a secondhand description of the character.
Also surreal is the fact that I got an e-mail today about a wedding shower for one of my friends from high school. I've known she was getting married as soon as she graduated for years now. I've met her fiance quite a few times (he is a nice man, although I think she could've done better). But that e-mail just sort of made it more real, that she's actually getting married, and she's the same age as me.

Date: 2005-03-17 04:21 am (UTC)...unless you count my High School English/Math teacher (a guy) who dressed up as a witch (complete with oranges for breasts) for Halloween and ran around the school before classes started chasing students with a broom and cackling... or the time he dressed in a Toga (and the general consensus was that, at best, he had only shorts on under it) when we had a Greek festival day when we were reading Homer and the Illiad in English class...
Er yeah... Wierd teacher... A good teacher, and a fun one, but wierd...
Um, closest I can think of in college is this one student I've seen several times around campus. He's always wearing a dark forest green hooded cloak on over his normal clothes and backpack... I don't know why, but I've never seen him without it.

Date: 2005-03-17 04:36 am (UTC)You should see the "Pirate Guy" we have on campus. He always wears a tricorn hat with some sort of gold-colored trim which, combined with his long ponytail, beard, and coat makes him look well...pirateish.
And, yes, pirateish is a word. Because I say so.
