Here's the real deal on research like this.
Man: "Dude, they're going to cut our funding. We won't be able to afford our crac--er, beer."
Other Man: "Quick! Think ofsomething asinine!"
Man: "..The sex life of tapeworms?"
Other Man: "Yes!"
Government: "Here, have all our money. Heaven forbid we give it to those looking for a cure for cancer."
