I just saw my first complete episode of NT Warrior Axess. My sister taped the premiere thingummy they had a while back of the first episode, but she missed the first five minutes or so. Thus, I was spared the atrocity that is the new theme "song." Note to the composer: That is not music. That is noises put into a blender, masquerading as music. It's almost worse than the original NT Warrior theme, which was pretty godawful. I'll take "Futatsui no Mirai" any day over that.

Anyway. The episode I saw was #3, Bubbleman's introduction. I like how they pretty much cut out the whole "exploding toilet" part of Bubbleman's plan but kept in the end, "Do you think it's safe?" scene. Yay inconsistent censoring.

• I really like Mr. Famous' British accent. Too bad that they don't seem to be including a running gag to replace the "San wa iranai."
• Bubbleman's voice seemed to really fit well. The random, bad poetry was a nice touch.
• Mega Man still sounds like a Ninja Turtle.
• Froid (or whatever they're calling him in NT Warrior) sounds younger than Lan and Mega Man. The dub voice actually matches the original fairly well, but since Lan and Mega Man have voices that are so much deeper than Netto and Rockman, the character sounds younger in comparison.
• There's still quite a bit of "Oh no, nobody's talking for a full second and a half! We must add dialogue!" going on with the dub. Ditto the "captain obvious" type remarks. We can see just fine that the Cross-Fusion armor is failing. We don't need Mega Man to point that out to us. The shot is a nice, centered close-up on it for a reason.
• On the plus side, when Lan's wearing the Cross-Fusion facemask, he actually sounds like he's wearing something over his face, while Netto sounds exactly the same.
• What the heck was Chisao doing on a 6th grade fieldtrip anyway?
