Just realized something while reading FMA fanfic. I have not seen the dub yet (I have the DVD, but no DVD player. Go me). Thus, when I read fanfic and hear the characters speak, it's with the Japanese voices. The odd thing is, some characters come out with Japanese accents and other don't. Hawkeye has a standard American accent unless she's saying Edward's name, which consistently comes out "Edowaado." Mustang also has an American accent, but it's the upper-class sort—think Frasier. Al has a standard Midwest US accent, but every utterance of "Brother" is automatically translated into "Niisan." Hughes I think is actually speaking in Japanese in my head, which is bizarre since I don't know enough of the language to be able to do that. And Ed has the worst Japanese accent ever. As in, everything he says comes out as though he was reading a version that had been phonetically transcribed into katakana. Winry has the same problem but to a lesser extent.

My brain is weird.

I just got your review, yay! I'm actually thinking about taking TFC down, because it's seasonal/annoying ^^;; I don't particularly like or dislike it either, and if I don't really think it's good, why do I have it up? Thanks for the review, though...

And I did the same thing when I watched the FMA dub--I kept jumping when I heard Al's voice, because it just...they tried, but it wasn't Al, y'know?

^^;; And...yeah, I think you deserved the 11. You really impressed me with that story, but I already explained why *grin*.

See ya!
