I just finished watching the movie Metropolis--the one based more-or-less on the Osamu Tezuka manga, not the silent film from the '20s. Pretty good movie, although the blend of computer animation and Tezuka's characters (the former looking very 21st century and the latter looking very 1930s-40s) takes some getting used to.

I did *not* manage to get used to the fact that one of the main characters is named Rock. That'd be weird enough in a movie about humans and robots. What managed to completely ruin my perception of the character was the fact that he looks like Blues. I am not kidding. It was the most distracting thing ever, entirely ruining my perception of the character.

Just to prove that I'm not crazy.

Rock is indeed extremely cool (or maybe it's just me and crazy boys with sunglasses >_>). Although he didn't appear in the Tezuka Metropolis manga (which is very, very weird; I prefer the movie), he is one of Tezuka's reaccuring characters.

Do you do that thing, you know, the thing, where every guy in sunglasses gets a second look because they're wearing sunglasses? I do. Quite a lot. >_>;

I don't do it with most guys I see wearing sunglasses. But if they have dark hair and are wearing a red top, they'll get a double take. And if they happen to look as absurdly like my personal vision of notarmor!Blues as Rock did, they will get a prolonged stare and a mouthed "What the...?" (never happened to me with that particular character, but there was a guy who lived in my dorm last year who was a dead ringer for Ron Weasley.)
