So I was kind of bored last night and I got around to finishing up a fic I've been picking at for a very long time, involving a pre-Classic series chance meeting between Blues and a young Dr. Cossack in an airport terminal (yeah, I know it sounds like kind of a dumb set-up, but it's pretty good, I think). While I was writing, I suddenly found that Blues was starting to get really, really snarky and hostile towards Cossack, which I couldn't have him doing since I needed them to leave on friendly terms if the epilogue-ish thing I had in mind was to work out. After several scribbled out paragraphs, I decided to just let Blues be a jerk. So I got a half-page of dialogue which ended up with him telling Cossack to shut up and get lost. Then I went back and started again. Wonder of wonders, Blues' dialogue started being civil. I guess I (or he--it's sometimes a bit doubtful as to who's really in charge of these sort of things) just needed to get that out of my/his/our system.

*squees* New fic! New fic! Maybe Blues is trying to tell you that he needs a fic in which to be snarky and bad tempered in. ^_~

Yep. New fic. New fic that's still in two different spiral notebooks, though. I need to remember to bring them in with me to the office so I can get it typed up.

Snarky!Blues is tempting. I've got like a zillion other things I should finish first, however, my attention span when it comes to writing tends to be kind of short and sporadic, so maybe it'll happen. I dunno.
