bobcatmoranI drove to the nearest large town today for a number of reasons, including finding a copy of MMBN5 (which I did! On sale! Yays!). I also found an awesome little store that sells used CDs and video games, and they had stuff for SNES and NES, which made me ten kinds of happy, since it's pretty much impossible to find those nowadays. Didn't get anything there, since the vast majority of my "fun" money had been eaten up by then with BN5, and at a comic book store which just happened to be having a special promotion for the first 25 people who walked in. I was number 2, so I got discounts of various sorts on stuff and a coupon for the next time I came.
I also apparently fit some sort of electronics shoplifter profile, since I needed to get an adapter, and in a certain store I went to, every single employee working there went up and asked me, "Can I help you?" One guy even asked me twice, and I was watched like a hawk the whole time I was there, despite the fact that there were other customers in the store (who did not get the "special" treatment I did). Note to self: Do not go there again. Ever.
Oh, and I saw a house on fire. Yep. That's a first.
