Glad seasonal tidings to you, and I hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy in this Year Of The Plague!
I am super excited to read whatever you write, but if you need/want some extra input from me, keep reading.
In general:
I always and forever love me some genfic. However, if you choose to go the romance route, I am ok with couples or poly relationships of all shapes and sizes — M/F, M/M, F/F, nonbinary, trans, interspecies, etc. Friends-to-lovers is always awesome. I am not so down with big power differences (e.g. teacher/student), hatesex, or noncon. Since multiple canons I’ve requested include robots and AI characters, I feel that I should also add that I consider relationships between any character and a robot/AI that hasn’t yet obtained sentience to be noncon (for Zero-One, this includes any Humagear who hasn’t achieved Singularity).
Other likes include found family, science fiction settings (space AUs for those canons that aren’t already in space are super ok), canon divergence AUs (e.g. “What if Harry was sorted into Slytherin”), and characters being snarky.
For a further idea of what sort of stuff I like (and some, IMO, really good reads), you can check out my Ao3 bookmarks, or my “read this fic it is good” and “read this story it is good” tags on Tumblr — the latter is for original fiction.
Arm Joe (ANY)
Being that this is a fighter game based on Les Mis, I'm not expecting anything super-serious here. I mean, if the muse has struck you in that direction, go for it by all means, but if you're going the route of pure, unadultrated crack, that is totally a good route to be on. If you want to try and explain how this world works (Where did Robojean come from? Why are they all fighting? Are these the canon characters thrust into video fighter game land or a crazy AU? What the heck is even up with Ponpon?), or try and explore the Cosette-Eponine-Marius love triangle thing in this 'verse, or even retell part of the story in this bizarro universe, I am up for all those or anything else your mind can come up with. Basically, go nuts, just please keep it T-rated and under. FYI, as far as canons go, if you want to incorporate things from the more "official" versions of Les Mis, I'm familiar with The Brick as well as the musical and very nearly all the filmed versions. So if you want to include references or crossovers that involve those, please go ahead!
I think I pretty well covered it. FYI, I know this is a fandom that I've actually written for, but if your take on the game-verse is different from mine in any way, shape, or form, that's more than okay. The more takes on this crazy universe and the more fic for this, the better!

Kamen Rider Build (ANY)
I’d love a little slice-of-life with the Nascita crew at any point in the series, whether it be early on, when it was just the Isurugis and the weirdo physicist who lived in their basement to towards the end, with the whole gang added in. Or! If you’d like to write post-series fic with Sento and Banjou getting to know the new world counterparts of their old friends, that’d be awesome, too. Basically, I love all these characters and I am a giant sucker for the Found Family trope. Gen or shipping at no more of a level than the series itself, please.
This series devoured my brain with happy munching sounds, and it’s all because of the characters and their relationships — not romantically, as I’m not much of a shipper for this series, but the way that all these people who are messed up in their own ways found companionship and a new, optimistic view on life. How they were able to become better people together than they were individually. Basically, y’know that cookout they had on the rooftop? That sort of feeling.
FYI, I have only a passing familiarity with the post-series movies, so if you want to ignore those, go right ahead.
Kamen Rider Zero-One (Horobi (Kamen Rider Zero-One), Jin (Kamen Rider Zero-One), Naki (Kamen Rider Zero-One), Uchuuyarou Raiden | Ikazuchi)
I’d love a story that focuses on Humagears, whether it be pre-canon, during canon era, afterwards, or even during the ReiGen movie AU. I’m not opposed to having humans in the fic, I’m just more interested in the narratives surrounding Humagears — the familial relationships they build, how they interact with human society for better or for worse, and, for some of them, trying to figure out what freedom would look like.
I’d prefer gen for this one, but if you absolutely, positively have to make it shippy, relationships between any character and a Humagear who hasn’t achieved Singularity is a big DNW. I’d be ok with any or all of the characters I requested for this - don’t feel you need to include all of them.
I realize I basically requested Metsuboujinrai. That said, I’d love a story focused any/all of them, or any other Humagear. One of the best/worst things about this series is how it left so many gaps to fill — how did Metsuboujinrai come together before the Daybreak incident? How did Jin find out about Horobi in the basement and the whole thing with Naki? How is Naki settling into their new job with AIMS — for that matter, what does the post-series version of AIMS look like under Yua? What are Raiden and Subaru doing now that there’s no satellite? Are there any hard feelings between them now that Raiden’s back and Subaru knows about his past? Are Naki and Ikazuchi around during the ReiGen movie AU? What are they doing offscreen? I could keep going! Or, heck, if you just wanna a do Day In the Life sort of thing with Metsuboujinrai (any member(s) at any point pre/during/post canon), that’d be cool, too.
I'm familiar with pretty much everything that's come out for this series to date, including the Zi-O crossover movie, Project Thouser, and the anime shorts, the last which I consider only semi-canon since they're basically gag cartoons. Feel free to include or ignore anything beyond the main series — I love me an alternate timeline AU and if there's any conflicts, I'll just roll with it being one of those.
17776: What Football Will Look Like in the Future - Jon Bois (Hubble (17776), Juice (17776), Nine (17776), Ten (17776))
Sentient space probe fic, please. I’d love a fic with any/all of Hubble, Juice, or Ten first achieving consciousness, or just space probe chit-chat (of which I am sure there are a few millennia’s worth). Ok with including new stuff from 20020, but that’s definitely not necessary. I am also Not A Football Fan, so please keep that in mind if you decide to include any gameplay. I know juuuust enough to follow the canon sports goings-on, but not much more than that.
I admit it. I have a thing for space probes. It’s been an ongoing thing since I was a very wee Bobcat and fell in love with Voyager 2 and cried when I found out that Pioneer 11 was leaving the solar system and would be all alone. So you can imagine the pitch and volume of the shriek I emitted when I found out who Nine was. If you wanna include football in this, that’s awesome. If you don’t, that’s awesome, too. I just wanna see a thing with the sentient space ships hanging out, whether it be Nine getting more comfortable with its new situation, Juice being kind of an ass, Hubble on a rare occasion where it’s being social, or anything else you fancy. Um. Maybe not sexytimes, as these characters are all a pretty substantial distance from each other, but if you can make it work, more power to you. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, go here and read/watch the thing on an actual computer instead of mobile if you have a couple free hours. I’ll wait. Also, if you get stuck on one of the other fandoms (it happens! I’ve written for fandoms I didn’t sign up for twice), this might be a good one to pick up as it’s relatively easy to access.
If you want to include new canon from 20020 (the sequel that’s being serialized right now), I absolutely won’t say no, but if you don’t feel comfortable dealing with new canon that's basically been left hanging until 2021 to conclude, that’s totally cool.
FAQ: The "Snake Fight" Portion Of Your Thesis Defense (McSweeney's Post) - Luke Burns (no characters listed)
I did not nominate this, but the moment I saw the nomination, I instantly desired a fic set in this world where doing a snake fight is a typical and accepted portion of your thesis defense. It can be the story of someone or several someones going through their ritual snake fight, someone from a country where this is Not A Thing being like, “wtf, y’all,” people comparing their snake fights, something from the POV of the person who assigns the snakes, something from a snake POV…or anything else you can think of! Just. Snake fights. Thesis defense.
No snake/human sex, please, and no anthropomorphic snake people.
If you get stuck with the fandom you signed up for (it can happen! I’ve written for fandoms I didn’t sign up for in two different Yuletides!), this is a super easy one to pick up fast, since the canon consists of a single, short article.
I honestly don’t have anything to add to my request. Just please do a bare minimum of research if you don’t know anything about snakes. I am not expecting anything super-serious for this, given the canon material.
Prisoner of the Ant People - R.A. Montgomery (ANY)
Something pre-canon would be lovely. A different case tackled by the Zondo Quest Group, a story about the characters just hanging out in their downtime (my word, the Zondo Quest Group II group trying to do some sort of group bonding activity would be really…something), a more in-depth look at the activities of the ants’ independent activities, all would be awesome. Ships of all shapes and sizes or gen are awesome, though I’m pretty sure Rendoxoll has all the sex drive of a toaster. Also, please don’t feel pressured to keep the CYOA format or even second-person POV.
I think I pretty well covered it in my request. Please keep things T-rated or lower for this one. Honestly, if you matched me on this one, blessings upon you, because I don’t know how many people even know about this 37-year-old Choose Your Own Adventure book.
