(no subject)

I suppose it was only a matter of time before the jury duty folks caught up with me. I mean, I've managed to make it almost to age twenty-nine without being summoned to jury duty once, thanks to living in five different states, six towns, and moving at least fifteen times since I was eighteen (I say "at least" because I'm not quite sure if I counted right — I'm on a new medication that's making me a raging insomniac and thus a bit fuzz-brained due to sleep deprivation, but that's a whole 'nother entry's worth of crazy that I'm not gonna subject y'all to).

But I got My First Juror Summons in yesterday's mail. And guess when it's for? The week next month when I'm going to be out of state! Of course. *facepalm*

Apropos of nothing, here, have a video of Cookie Monster lipsynching a Tom Waits song. It's pretty hilarious, mostly because Tom Waits sounds an awful lot like Cookie Monster.
