bobcatmoranI've finally finished watching all the episodes of NT Warrior Axess that my sister had been taping.
Good stuff:
•Shademan's voice is AWESOME.
•Roll no longer sounds like a heavy smoker. Yay!
•The original Darkloids music was kept for the Shademan scenes.
•Laika...er, I mean, Raika's voice is good, too. Searchman is kinda meh, though. Not bad, but nothing to enthuse about, either.
•Higsby had some great lines in the bowling episode.
Bad stuff:
•Wow, major dialogue butchering in the hot springs episode with Metal Man. I can kind of understand, since the whole hot springs thing is not something the average American kid would know about, but still, changing, "Wow, I should get some souveniers for Mom and Dad – you think they'll like this?" to "What the heck is this junk?" is Not On.
•"Heavy Metal Man"? WTF, Tamako?
•Dub!Mettaurs sound kind of scary. I like them cute and squeaky better.
•"Double Soul Roll Soul" — could they find a more cumbersome way to phrase that? -_-
•Good grief, can they make up their minds on what to call the "cannon" chips? Lasers? Blasters? They've gotten a lot more consistent with all the other chips, why can't they figure this one out?
•I'm pretty sure Chaud has a new voice. I'm pretty sure I don't like it any more than I liked the old one. It's not as absurdly deep for a 12-year old (11-year old?) but he sounds more like he's going to pass out than arrogant.
•Shadowman's voice. Eeewww. It's still all nasally and British. Why couldn't they change *his* voice?
•"Vineman"? Okay, I can sort of understand the logic behind almost all the rest of the name changes, but what on earth is wrong with "Plantman"?
•Megaman still sounds like a Ninja Turtle.
Random stuff:
•Where do the chips come from that Lan/Netto is loading the Soul Unison/Double Soul data onto? He gets the Roll Soul one from Dr. Hikari, but the rest of them seem to just sort of appear in his PET. (maybe it's the same place the bowling balls come from?)
•For having the name NUMBERman, he sure is bad at math. 1/9 chance ≠ 20%, 1/8 chance ≠ 30%, and 1/5 chance definitely does not equal 50%.
•No matter what language you're watching it in, Bowlman is a just plain weird concept. If he was the winner for the navi design contest, I really have to wonder what the losers were.
•Beast...er, Savageman has the exact same voice as several cartoon villains from my childhood.

That's because (I believe) he's voiced by Scott McNeil. 90% certain that he is.
