Aug. 30th, 2011 06:31 pmBack home. I've got power and water and no flood damage, for which I am eternally grateful, if slightly bewildered; there's at least four trees down on power lines within a block radius of here, including one blocking my entire street a bit further north, so I'm not quite sure why I can turn on my lights. I'm not complaining, though. I am also eternally grateful that the tree that was over my kitchen decided to fall in the opposite direction from my kitchen and that so far the fence is keeping it from crashing into the neighbor's house. I hope the tree company can get over here and cut it down, though, because it's pretty precarious, and I'd hate to think what might happen if we get anther windy day while it's still leaning like that.
Meanwhile, I think I'm experiencing a major crash from spending the last few days running on adrenaline and practically no sleep. Despite having spent a good chunk of today sleeping or just lying in bed, too exhausted to even think of moving, I think I might call it a day after dinner because I'm starting to nod off, despite it not yet being 7:00.
