(no subject)
Feb. 12th, 2011 08:30 pm…and only a few hours after I made that last post, Mubarak stepped down. Clearly I have some sort of magic powers of international persuasion.
In all seriousness, though, congratulations and best wishes to the Egyptian people. I'm cautiously optimistic and slightly bewildered that what's basically a military coup is seen as a big step towards Egypt being a functioning democracy.
In other news ("news" here meaning "information which has no bearing on the real world whatsoever unlike the above subject matter"), I'm a little disturbed that Mpreg!America having little baby states is apparently a big thing in the Hetalia fandom, to the point where there's actual fanon over who the various states' babydaddies are (e.g. Delaware is Sweden's, New York is the Netherlands', Hawaii is Japan's). I'm really disturbed by how, if you carry this out to, say, Virginia, America would have been insanely young (not to mention MALE) to be having kids.
