And apparently whoever snatched up my request as a pinch-hit has posted as well, since I have a mystery story waiting for me! (thank you, Yuletide Author, if you happen to be reading this! You are awesome!)

Oh my god, there is so much snow outside! Oh my god, I am using so many exclamation points! I spent like half of yesterday afternoon shoveling — heavy, wet snow halfway up to my knees, and a snowdrift that buried my car up to the headlights (I have a smallish SUV, so "up to the headlights" is pretty dang deep). I'm feeling it today, but at least my landlady and I can now get out of the driveway, and she can get out her front door. And hey, it's good aerobic exercise, right? Right.
