bobcatmoran: The twins from Ouran, talking about robots and flowers (robot flowers)

I went on a Great Shopping Spree on Tuesday ("Great shopping spree" by my definition being, "Spent slightly more than $100 in a single day." I know some people spend several times that much on a single handbag, which boggles me completely). Granted a lot of it was stuff that I've been putting off for the past month due major toe injury. So I got a broiler pan, a new blanket (yay not freezing to death!), a couple batteries for my smoke detector, and some other boring stuff. Oh, and the box set of "Princess Tutu." I was going to hold off until I finished watching the series via the library, but since the 4th disc seems to be stuck in limbo somewhere (it's on hold for me, but not in transit, not in repairs, and somehow has yet to make it to my local library despite the reservation being made a month ago), I figured, "What the heck, why not?"

And then I ended up watching five episodes in one night.

And then three more tonight. I swear there's, like, some sort of addictive subliminal messaging going on in there.

You know, when I made those remarks back when I started about the series about how I really liked how there was stuff about the power of stories, I didn't think they'd be going quite so literally with that theme.

Also, look how well my paragraphs flow from one another! Aren't I good at transitions? :D I got a kick out of the DVD designs, which are different from the individually packaged ones. Discs 1–4 are Duck as, respectively, Princess Tutu, the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker, Odette from Swan Lake (accompanied by Mytho as Prince…Siegfried? I forget his name), and the title character of Coppelia. Then Rue gets Disc 5, and Disc 6 intriguingly has Duck with Fakir. Hmmm. I actually wouldn't mind if it went that route. Fakir's been gradually growing on me since about the third episode where I started to go, "Okay, there's something more going on here than just 'Fakir is a jerk.'" And darned if he hasn't turned out to be pretty freaking awesome.
