Sep. 17th, 2009 08:00 pmNumber of Princess Tutu DVDs checked out from the library today: 1
Number of times I said, "Just one more episode": 3
Number of episodes on the DVD: 4
Number of times I screamed like a little girl when my cell phone went off during a climactic moment: 1
Number of seconds after the phone call until I went, "Noooo!" at the screen: 2
Number of times total that I went "Noooo!" during the last episode and a half: 4. Maybe 5. I lost count. It was very intense.
But now I'm curious. See, that was only thirteen episodes. There's thirteen more. And they totally wound up this up with a (mostly) happily-ever-after ending. The story's over. Even crazypants narrator Drosselmeyer said they'd finished the story. So what now? Whatever it is, I hope it's as totally amazing as the first half. Magical girl anime + Grimm's fairy tales + a pinch of Swan Lake = the best anime I've seen since the first Fullmetal Alchemist TV series. And I don't even like Magical Girl series.
