Sep. 13th, 2009 10:13 amI think I may have sprained my pinkie toe. I feared it might be broken, but it doesn't seem broken (at least, not according to the signs that my "Wilderness First Aid" book mentions). Hurts like the dickens, though, and walking is awkward, to say the least. I feel like it's more of an Urgent Care than an Emergency Room thing; in my mind, you go to the Emergency Room only if it's, y'know, an emergency. Like you hit yourself with a nail gun or something.
But I do need to go see a doctor, and I need to see a doctor today in order to get a note so that I can be on office duty. And, apparently, my insurance doesn't cover any Urgent Care facilities within a hundred miles. So off to the hospital I go. Hopefully I won't catch H1N1 flu while in the waiting room. -_-
