Jan. 13th, 2009 05:28 pmLesson of the day: Chamomile tea and Macbook displays don't mix. I managed to do a particularly spectacular job of spraying herbal tea all over my computer (and everything else within a two foot radius) last night when something went down the wrong tube and I coughed with a mouthful of tea.
Everything seemed fine later that night after I dried off the screen as best I could and let it sit for a bit, unplugged, but when I turned the Flying Toaster back on this morning, the screen is noticeably brighter in a big blotch that covers the lower right half of the screen. It's still fully functional otherwise, but is clearly Not Right. All Apple's site is telling me is that I shouldn't apply liquids directly to the screen, so I'm going to try to make the hike up to the nearest Apple Store tomorrow and see what can be done, if anything.
Fuck. I guess this'll teach me to not eat and drink at my computer.
