Well, even though I had the party a month ago ('cuz almost everyone's gone from the park by now), it's my birthday today. Yep. I kind of thought it'd be on the sucky side, since work today was surveys in Paddelford Flat, which basically means walking all day in in straight lines through the desert and on the lava flows, looking for noxious weeds. It's boring and feet-hurting work. But I saw a fox--a huge, blond one which Aterisk and I thought was a coyote at first--and we found an archaeological site where it looked like someone, a very very long time ago, was making obsidian arrowheads. So that was neat. The arrowheads, especially, really made my day. I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a kid (along with wanting to be an astronaut, a geologist, a paleontologist, and a voice actor), and this might actually be the first time this site has been discovered, which I find terribly exciting.
