Apr. 5th, 2007 01:48 pmOkay, so maybe it'll take a bit longer than I thought for the Rockman/Megaman 7 stuff. At the end of each of the 8 stages, Our Hero goes to Dr. Light's lab, where he talks with Dr. Light in the lamest possible manner about his newly acquired weapon and its abilities. What I noticed while playing through Rockman 7 was that for some levels, when I came back to the lab, Roll or Rightot (Auto) was waiting, and they would come up with some silly use for the new weapon, like using the flame wheel for barbecue or telling Rockman not to use the Junk Shield (a rotating shield made of trash) inside the house because it'll make a mess.
And then I realized that I was only getting these "omake"-type conversations for stages that I had an unusually hard time getting through. So I did a little experiement and, lo and behold, if I died five or six times in a row before defeating the boss, I'd get the silly endings instead of the boring ones. The problem with this is that I have to kill off Rockman several times on purpose in order to see all the scenes, and I'm starting to feel really guilty. I'm okay if I kill off video game characters while actively playing, but feel I bad about purposely running the little blue dude off cliffs and into spikes.
Anyway. Mission for today is to see if they kept the omake for the US release.yay i am so productive on my days off.
