I made it to the moon Idaho in one piece and have gone through the required (and incredible inane) training so I can now access the internet again. Yays! I'm going to be using government computers after hours to update my journal, though (no other internet access for miles around here), so no making terrorist threats in here, okay? ^_^
I made a bit of a detour on the way out to spend a day at Yellowstone Park, which was AWESOME. Seriously, if you've never been there, go. The park I'm working at is awesome, too. The staff and my housemates are pretty friendly, I haven't managed to poison myself with my own cooking (yet), the landscape around here is amazing, and next week I'll actually be able to get out in the field and do some mapping of plants. Okay, I got out in the field yesterday, but that was just "mechanical control of spotted knapweed," a.k.a. pulling weeds.
