Eaten by guilt, back in five.
Mar. 6th, 2005 11:40 pmWell, thanks to my insane reluctance to ever tell anybody, "No, I can't help you out with that, please find someone else to do it because I am way too busy," I've managed to screw up big-time, make the lives of several people much more difficult, get chewed out over the phone by someone who I won't be able to avoid tomorrow, and generally make myself look like the most irresponsible numbskull ever. I'm almost tempted to just sort of stay holed up in my room all tomorrow, so as not to have to show my face.
Today had been going so well, too. I finally got hold of some sources I need for my senior capstone, I got to see my brother in The Monkey King at the Children's Theater (which was a very good play, and I'm not just saying that because he's in it), I got all caught up on readings for class, and the weather was absurdly beautiful. I haven't gone outside without a jacket in months. The snow is pretty much entirely gone now, and the ground is kind of squishy and gross, but the sun and and warmth made up for it, mostly. I'd forgotten how much I missed studying outside.
Focusing on the positives like that helped a bit. I can't change my idiotic behavior of the past, so I guess I'll make my apologies tomorrow and do what I can to make up for it.
