Watched the VP debate last night, and boy howdy, was that exciting! Major kudos to Martha Raddatz for actually moderating the debate, keeping Biden and Ryan (mostly) on track, asking pointed questions, and not letting them ramble on ad infinitum. Biden was a hoot to watch, grinning and gesticulating. Ryan was articulate and on the ball, and although I had originally planned to only watch until 10:00 and then go to bed, I stayed up through the whole thing. I don't think either man "won" the debate, but it was great viewing, with much more substance than the usual political debate. I hope next Tuesday's debate is just as good (better be, because my Spanish class, which takes place at the community college next door to Hofstra, was canceled).
