Mar. 10th, 2005 04:47 pmWell, I now have one less thing to stress out about, although I really wish that it wasn't knocked off my list this way.
I'm the volunteer coordinator for my campus's chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and it looks like I don't have to worry about finding a couple more volunteers for this Saturday's workday because it's been cancelled. There was a fire at the worksite early this morning, and from what I've heard, at least part of the house was destroyed. The cause is still being investigated.
ETA: Okay, it wasn't the duplex we were working on that was damaged, it was part of a Habitat triplex that was being built next door. But it looks like it was probably arson, which unfortunately seems to happen to Habitat construction sites more often than others. *sigh* People can just be so...so mean sometimes. ("mean" does not begin to sum up my feelings about people who do stuff like that, but my brain is a bit fried from reading too many scientific articles right now.)
